Judges Judges are an incredibly important part of National History Day. Judges volunteer their time, spending their day interviewing students about their projects....the projects students spend countless of hours researching and creating! Without judges, History Day could not happen! Judges help encourage Delaware's young scholars. It is important for judges to support these students in their endeavors, while at the same time giving constructive and critical advice about the projects. For the students who go on to the national competition this advice is invaluable.   Volunteering We try to construct judging teams representative of Delaware's excellent educational and historical institutions. You don't need History Day experience, just a willingness to meet and encourage these young scholars.
